The Greek Supreme Court (Areios Pagos) has appointed new leadership, following a cabinet decision endorsing the nominations put forward by Justice Minister Giorgos Floridis.

Anastasia Papadopoulou, previously serving as vice president, has been appointed president. She has 36 years of experience in the judiciary.

Konstantinos Tzavellas has been appointed as the court’s new prosecutor. Until recently, he served as spokesperson for the Prosecutor’s Office and is a former president of the Association of Prosecutors.
