The ex-wife of the 43-year-old Polish professor, accused of his murder in Agia Paraskevi, Greece, continues to assert her innocence from prison. Speaking to MEGA, the 43-year-old emphasized that her priority is ensuring the well-being of her two children amid a custody battle with the professor’s family, who seek exclusive custody.
“My children’s best interests are my main concern. They need to stay in their home in Greece, where they grew up, attend school, and continue their activities in a safe, supportive environment,” she stated. Her lawyer added, “This is what my client has always pursued, and we’ve arranged for their stability from the outset.”
The professor’s family, represented by lawyer Dimitris Dimitrakopoulos, is pushing for the couple’s twin children to attend their father’s funeral in Poland on August 9. “These orphans were tragically deprived of their father’s love by heinous murderers,” Dimitrakopoulos said.
The ex-wife, however, denies any role in the crime, which her 35-year-old partner has confessed to committing. “I had no connection or involvement in the murder. The evidence supports my innocence, and I await the final transcripts to prove my unjust detention,” she said. Her lawyer noted that she maintains daily contact with her children, and her family provides regular psychological support.
