Magnitude 5.6 quake jolts Australia

A earthquake – currently estimated at around magnitude 5.6 – has struck near Kingaroy and been felt throughout south-east Queensland, including Brisbane

The quake hit at 9.49 am local time, with the epicenter near the Wrattens National Park, northwest of Brisbane.

Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology said that there is no tsunami threat to the country.
