The Greek U18 women’s water polo team secured a commanding 22–6 victory over Israel on Thursday, clinching second place in Group B and advancing directly to the quarterfinals of the European Championship.

The match, held in Malta, saw Greece bounce back emphatically after yesterday’s loss to Spain.

From the opening whistle, Greece dominated, racing to a 6–0 lead and extending it to 11–1 by halftime. Head coach Georgios Doskas utilized his entire roster, with all field players except one getting on the scoresheet.

Top scorers included Karagianni (4 goals), Koundouraki (3), Biku (3), and Elmisian (3). The team now awaits the outcome of Friday’s knockout matches to learn their quarterfinal opponent.

The championship continues through September 5th, with Greece positioned as a strong contender for the medal rounds.
