22-Year-Old Tyler Robinson Identified as Charlie Kirk’s Killer, Given Up by his Father

The United States is in shock following the murder of Charlie Kirk, according to Reuters. The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson by the Daily Mail, allegedly killed Kirk during a speech on a Utah university campus.

Authorities officially ID the shooter as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson

The shooter’s father reached out to a minister, a family friend who helped contact the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators say they interviewed a family member who said Robinson had become more political and full of hate in recent years.

The family member said at a recent dinner, Robinson spoke about Charlie Kirk visiting UVU, and they spoke about why they didn’t like him and his viewpoints.

During an appearance on Fox News, Trump announced the suspect’s arrest, stating that “someone very close” to Robinson turned him in. CNN sources revealed that Robinson confessed to his father, who then contacted authorities and secured his son before the arrest. The New York Times reported that the suspect was apprehended around 11 p.m. local time in Utah on Thursday night.
