The Greek Cabinet will meet today Wednesday, October 29, at the Maximos Mansion under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Later in the day, at 6:00 p.m., the Prime Minister will deliver remarks at the unveiling ceremony of the new bioclimatic façade of the Ministry of National Defence’s central building.
The Cabinet meeting will address several key agenda items, including:

A presentation by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State Kostis Hatzidakis on initiatives aimed at creating a more citizen-friendly state and improving the business environment.

A joint presentation by Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis, Minister of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis, and Minister of Rural Development and Food Kostas Tsiaras on legislative reforms concerning the reorganization of the National Payment Agency and the transition from the Organization for the Payment and Control of Community Aid (OPEKEPE) to the Independent Authority for Public Revenue.

Legislative initiatives presented by Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Alternate Minister Nikos Papathanasis, and Deputy Minister Giorgos Kotsiras on:
a) The incorporation of EU Directives 2023/2226 and 2025/872 on administrative cooperation in taxation, and
b) The new National Development Program. -
Presentation by Minister of Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou of a draft bill establishing the Greek Artificial Intelligence Factory “FAROS AI Factory.”

Report by Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Giannis Kefalogiannis on the 2025 wildfire prevention and response season.

Proposal by Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Gerapetritis to form a Government Committee for Greece’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
