58 Illegal Immigrants Land on Beach in Crete

Authorities in Crete are processing the arrival of 58 migrants who landed early Thursday morning on the beach of Limnaki, in the Stomio area of Ierapetra.

The incident was reported to police by a local resident, prompting an immediate response from emergency services. Officials are currently registering the new arrivals before transferring them to a temporary accommodation facility.

  1. Crete needs to step up maritime patrols. I am ex Australian Navy and our patrol boats are regularly used to survey, protect, etc the massive coastline that is Australia. Crete is a much smaller island and should be easier to protect from the influx of hoards.
