UN Security Council Members Back U.S. Resolution on Gaza

The United States has secured regional and international backing for its proposed Gaza resolution at the United Nations Security Council. According to the U.S. Mission to the UN, Ambassador Michael Waltz met with the elected non-permanent members of the Council—including Algeria, Denmark, Greece, Guyana, Pakistan, Panama, South Korea, Sierra Leone, Slovenia, and Somalia—to present details of the draft resolution.

Also attending were representatives from Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates, signaling strong regional support. The resolution endorses the 20-day Gaza peace plan outlined by President Trump, which calls for a stabilization force, continued humanitarian aid, and the release of all hostages—paving the way for what Washington described as “a safer and more prosperous Gaza.”

The statement from the U.S. delegation emphasized Washington’s leadership role, asserting that under President Trump, the United States “will once again deliver results at the United Nations—not endless debates,” urging all sides to seize this “historic opportunity to end decades of bloodshed and realize lasting peace in the Middle East.”
