With great splendour and deep reverence, the Holy Memory of Saint Nektarios was celebrated in Aegina.
A multitude of faithful gathered to honour Saint Nektarios, participating in the events that included a Great Hierarchical Vespers, a Divine Liturgy, and a magnificent procession.
On the evening of Saturday, November 8, 2025, the grand Church of Saint Nektarios was filled with light and prayer during the Great Hierarchical Vespers, presided over and preached by His Grace Bishop Apostolos of Tanagra, with the concelebration of His Eminence Metropolitan Chrysostomos II of Chalkida, His Eminence Metropolitan Ephraim, and His Grace Bishop Nikodimos of Epidaurus.

His Eminence Metropolitan Ephraim, in his thoughtful and fatherly address, expressed gratitude to the attending hierarchs for their presence and conveyed heartfelt wishes for the boundless blessings of Saint Nektarios upon all. In his sermon, Bishop Apostolos of Tanagra spoke on the sacredness of the human body, drawing upon scriptural and patristic sources, offering spiritual nourishment to the faithful who filled the church — among them many pilgrims from Romania.
On Sunday, November 9, 2025, the beautifully adorned Church of Saint Nektarios in Aegina hosted the Great Hierarchical Divine Liturgy in honour of the Holy Memory of Saint Nektarios, Bishop of Pentapolis and Wonderworker. The service was presided over and preached by Metropolitan Chrysostomos II of Chalkida, with Metropolitan Ephraim and Bishops Apostolos of Tanagra and Nikodimos of Epidaurus concelebrating.
Following the Liturgy, a solemn Doxology and grand procession of the Holy Icon and the Sacred Relic (Skull) of Saint Nektarios took place, filling the island’s port with a sea of faithful and the fragrance of devotion. The celebration was attended by the Deputy Minister for Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Mr. Kostas Katsafados, regional Members of Parliament, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, and local authorities.
The festivities concluded with a celebratory breakfast and official luncheon at the Holy Monastery of Saint Nektarios, in an atmosphere of spiritual joy and brotherly fellowship.
