A 17-year-old girl was rushed to Agrinio General Hospital in a state of intoxication after consuming alcohol at a local food and drink establishment, leading to the arrest of the shop owner for violating child-protection regulations.
Police said a case file was filed against him for breaching laws prohibiting the sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday (16 November), when the minor reportedly consumed an alcoholic beverage at the venue and became heavily intoxicated. Due to her condition, she was immediately transferred to hospital for first aid.
The arrested owner is expected to appear before the Prosecutor of the Aitoloakarnania Court of First Instance.
