In a bid to harness the expertise of Greek expatriates, Greece's Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is extending its acclaimed "Rebrain Greece" program to New York this Sunday. The one-day event, set to take place from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the New York Marriott Marquis, seeks to forge connections between skilled Greek professionals in the United States and Canada and innovative enterprises back in Greece.

This latest outing follows successful gatherings in Amsterdam, Dusseldorf, London, and Stuttgart, building momentum for repatriation and cross-border partnerships. According to Eurostat figures, out of the roughly 660,000 Greeks who left the country amid the financial turmoil, an encouraging 420,000 have already made their way back, signaling a potential reversal of the brain drain.

Over 35 prominent companies spanning diverse industries—such as technology, artificial intelligence, research and development, finance, energy, shipping, healthcare, construction, telecommunications, media, and tourism—will be on hand. Standouts include Aegean Airlines, Alpha Bank, COSMOTE, Deloitte, Pfizer, TITAN Group, and HELLENiQ Energy.

Attendees can expect dynamic sessions focused on networking, job placements, and collaborative ventures, offering a vital platform for the global Greek community to contribute to their homeland's resurgence.
