It became known that the well-known eccentric billionaire Elon Musk and his new project is responsible for this unprecedented spectacle of lights in the sky.

This is none other than the Starlink project that promises "space" internet in Greece as well.

The lights were just satellites orbiting at low altitudes around the Earth.

It is worth noting that they have magnetised interest worldwide as there is even a special application that predicts when they will be visible.

According to the app, the light arrays will probably be visible on Friday night at around 22.00.

Elon Musk's Space X company launched 143 small satellites at the same time last January, a number that set a new world record, breaking the one with 104 satellites by an Indian rocket in 2017.

The launch was carried out with a reusable Falcon 9 rocket from the space center on Cape Canaveral, Florida, and after that, the first part of the rocket landed on the platform of a robotic ship in the Atlantic, called "Of Course I Still Love You", in order to be used again.

Space X hopes to create an international satellite network that will provide cheap and fast Internet to every corner of the globe, while Starlink satellites will orbit at a much lower altitude above the Earth (350 to 550 kilometers) than today's Internet satellites.
