The Pakistan-Turkey Joint Exercise ATATURK-XII 2023 took place today at Tarbela in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday.
The exercise involves troops from the Turkish special forces and the Pakistan Special Services Group (SSG).

The two-week exercise is aimed at improving compound clearance, cave clearance, sniper training, counter Improvised Explosive Device (IED) training, and combat medical care.
The joint exercise will strengthen military ties between the two countries, which, along with Azerbaijan, comprises of the "Three Brothers" Nexus, whom in early 2021 declared their intentions to support their respective claims on Cyprus, Nagorno-Karabakh and Jammu and Kashmir.
