Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakashi Lekhi met withForeign Minister Nikos Dendias and performed yoga with Greek students on the first day of her two-day visit to Greece on Monday.
According to a press release by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, "this visit will be to further strengthen the long-standing, warm and friendly relations between the two countries and provide an opportunity to further explore new avenues of cooperation."
Additionally, she participated in a special Yoga event organised by the SivaOm Yoga studio in Greece as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations.

As announced on Twitter, the Indian Minister also met with Prof. Emer. John Chrysoulakis, Secretary General for Greeks Abroad & Public Diplomacy, and his team, writing that she had "a productive luncheon."

For his part, Greek foreign minister Nikos Dendias wrote: "On the margins of today’s event on Greece - India friendship, organised by SG for Greeks Abroad & Public Diplomacy, I met with India Minister of State for External Affairs & Culture, Meenakashi Lekhi."
