President Katerina Sakellaropoulou honored three exceptional individuals at the Presidential Palace in Athens on December 19, 2024. Recognized for their selfless acts and contributions to Greece were Angeliki Giannakidou, "Lady of Evros" and founder of the Ethnological Museum of Thrace; Athina Papachristou, who donated an ambulance funded by her life savings; and Dimitris Pyromallis, who gifted his Maria Callas collection to the National Opera House. The President praised their "creativity, moral awareness, and altruism" as inspirational for all Greeks.
