Petro Georgiou, a Greek-Australian Liberal MP who served Kooyong for over 15 years, has passed away. A staunch advocate for migrant rights and multiculturalism, he earned respect for his principled stance and policy acumen, later becoming an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2013.
