Greek Fest Returns to Brighton-Le-Sands: A Cultural Celebration for All

Brighton-Le-Sands Greek Festival

After a 21-year hiatus, the Greek Fest is making its return to Brighton-Le-Sands on Sunday, May 26, with organisers expecting a turnout of up to 5,000 people.

The event will span 11 hours, taking place in Bay Street and Moate Avenue.

Bayside Council pledged up to $28,000 in financial and in-kind support during its April 24 meeting to ensure the event's success.

Support for the Greek Fest also comes from the State Government, TfNSW, and the Novotel Brighton (for an off-site liquor license).

Attendees can look forward to a range of Greek cultural activities, performances, food, and products, providing local residents with an immersive experience.

The Greek Fest is a key component of the Greek Festival of Sydney, which takes place from February to June.

"It's also for our broader community, and I encourage all our residents to come and share in the experience of the community spirit.

"It's a great privilege for them to come back to Brighton. It's an opportunity for our community to get together. I can assure you that those who haven't been to a Greek Festival it's a great atmosphere."
