Technopolis Announces Exciting Summer Music Program in Athens

Technopolis, the most renowned cultural hub in Athens, recently announced its summer program of events, featuring famous Greek and foreign artists taking the stage from May to September.

Concerts, special musical collaborations, nostalgic evenings, tributes, and festivals, such as Athens Jazz (the biggest jazz festival in Greece) and the hip-hop Off the Hook Festival, make Technopolis the ultimate summer music destination for everyone.

Music lovers can enjoy sounds for every taste, from rock, pop, and jazz to hip-hop and Greek rebetiko, with more than 50 concerts scheduled throughout the summer.

The first part of the program features events from May to July, offering a diverse range of music concerts, including:

  • Thanasis Papakonstantinou, May 24 and 25: The singer will be accompanied by Martha Frintzila, Yiannis Litenas, and Alexandros Ktistakis.
  • Athens Jazz Festival, May 26 to June 3: For 7 consecutive days, the city's longest-running music festival with free admission will host a variety of jazz trends, bands, and performances with international recognition, attracting more than 6,000 visitors a day.
  • Ypogeia Revmata, June 5: Celebrating 30 years in the Greek music industry, the famous group will sing some of its biggest hits together with other Greek artists.
  • Rizes Fest, June 6: The festival will host the music groups Santa Bella, Fistiki Saloni, Kinteria, and Laska.
  • 45 years of FLOU, June 11: A concert dedicated to the album "Flou", recorded in 1979 by the Greek singer Pavlos Sidiropoulos. Technopolis is celebrating 45 years of Flou with the Spyridoula group, Leonidas Balafas, Violeta Ikari, and others.
  • Summer Love Festival: 20 Years Trashformers, June 12: Trashformers group will enter the stage to celebrate 20 years of entertainment with a grand festive three-hour show and special guests from the 80s, 90s, and 00s music scene.
  • Kids Radio Land, June 15–16: For the third year running, the festival will feature a concert, stand-up comedy shows, and 35 activities for families.
  • Marina Satti, June 26: The Greek singer Marina Satti, who recently represented Greece at the annual Eurovision contest, will come to Technopolis with a concert including traditional Greek and Balkan music and trap songs.
  • Dire Straits Legacy, June 27: The legendary rock group is coming to Greece for a limited number of shows paying tribute to their 40 years in music.
  • Panos Vlahos, July 1: The Technopolis of Athens is part of the Vlahos summer tour, featuring Greek folk music with rock and pop influences.
  • Release Athens Festival | Cannons, July 6: Launched in 2016, Release Athens will present Cannons, an alternative electro-pop trio from Los Angeles, who are coming to Greece for the first time for one of the most exciting live shows of the summer.
