Top Gear Duo Bring Their New Show to Greece

Following the hiatus of the iconic show Top Gear last November due to a horrific crash involving host Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff, BBC has revealed plans for a new road trip series featuring Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris.

The new factual series, tentatively titled "Paddy And Chris: Road Trippin'," will see the duo embarking on adventures across Europe, visiting destinations like Greece, Sweden, and Switzerland. However, it's confirmed that Flintoff will not be part of the show, as he's taken a step back from television following the life-altering crash at the Top Gear test track in December 2022.

McGuinness expressed his excitement about reuniting with Harris, albeit jokingly mentioning his concerns about sharing close quarters with him, remarking, "Not so much looking forward to sharing a confined space with him. He doesn't believe in deodorant. On the plus side he'll give me something to laugh at along the way. Bring it on!"

Harris, on the other hand, teased about McGuinness' limited experience in long-haul travel, hinting at the humorous dynamics viewers can expect during their journey.

The new series, set to air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, was confirmed by the BBC on Monday. Kalpna Patel-Knight, head of entertainment commissioning at the BBC, described the show as an exciting adventure where McGuinness and Harris will explore various countries, cultures, and people while attempting to uncover the secrets to a fulfilling life.

With a blend of humour and exploration, the duo aims to entertain audiences while immersing themselves in new experiences.
