It’s Greek tradition for the bride to try step on the groom's foot during church service because they say if she does she will be in control of the marriage.
A bride in Parga over the weekend did just that but what she and guests did not anticipate was that the groom who is a soccer referee, would pull out a yellow card, making all their guests laugh and the photo has since gone viral!
For all those getting married, after the reading of the Gospel, during the section where it says that a wife should respect her husband, the bride typically steps on her husband’s foot in an effort to show him she has the power, however, the groom may also get in first!
