As temperatures continue to slowly plummet across Greece and heavy storms hit regions across Greece this week, Metsovo received its first snowfall for the 2019 season, bringing with it a real taste of winter.
The first snowfall in Metsovo created an enchanting atmosphere, despite the bitter cold as temperatures dropped to 1 degree Celsius.
The setting was similar in Parnassos on Sunday night, where the first snow fell at the famous ski resort.
Metsovo is a well-known mountainside village in Epirus, in the mountains of Pindus in northern Greece, between Ioannina to the north and Meteora to the south. It is a very popular winter destination in the country.
