Night of Wishes

Hundreds of Athenians spent Christmas Eve at Kotzia Square in the city, illuminating the night sky with paper lanterns that had their wishes and hopes for the future written on them.

The annual spectacle tradition of "Night of Wishes" was organised by the Municipality of Athens and was attended by the city’s mayor, Kostas Bakoyannis.

Following the paper lantern event, attendees enjoyed an incredible audiovisual show (3D projection mapping) against the background of City Hall, assembled by the Athens Digital Arts Festival.

Popular Greek pop rock band, Onirama continued the party at Syntagma with a concert that had Athenians continue their celebrations till late at night.
