Greece’s President Katerina Sakellaropoulou on Monday announced her decision that, for the next two months, she will deposit half her salary in the special coronavirus account, as a minimum sign of her solidarity with the difficult conditions Greece is experiencing due to the coronavirus crisis.

Meanwhile, the Theodore and Gianna Angelopoulos family donated 1 million euros for hospital equipment and supplies to fight the coronavirus pandemic on Monday.

The donation was accepted by Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias and was forwarded to the Institute of Pharmaceutical Research & Technology (IFET) for the purchase of the supplies.
