LIVE STREAMING: Holy Fire at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre

GCT is live streaming the Άγιο Φως (Holy Fire) ceremony at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.

The Holy Fire ceremony unfolds without pilgrims due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Thousands of pilgrims normally flock to Jerusalem’s Church of the Holy Sepulchre—the traditional location for Jesus’ crucifixion, burial, and resurrection—to witness the ‘miracle’ of Holy Fire.

However due to the novel coronavirus, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, known also as the Church of the Resurrection, has been closed to visitors.

The ceremony is only attended by eight clergymen belonging to the Greek Orthodox, Armenian, Assyrian, and Coptic denominations.
