Coming soon to Glyfada: a drive-in movie theatre.
Movie nights at the cinema have taken a hit amid the coronavirus pandemic. However Athenians will soon have a reason to reach for that ion chocolate and popcorn once again, as a vintage-style drive-in cinema is coming to Glyfada this summer.
The announcement which was made by the Municipality of Glyfada, states that the first drive-in cinema will be located at the Glyfada Golf Course.
Admission will be free, however the Municipality is asking the public to donate food and medicine which will be collected and distributed to those in need.
"We are preparing a summer festival, with absolute respect for the rules of public health protection, in a safe and controlled place," Mayor of Glyfada, Georgios Papanikolaou said.
