A video has surfaced of what appears to be a big party on a beach in Mykonos on Friday night, in flagrant violation of the government restrictions.

The video quickly went viral on social media in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

What was supposed to be a small gathering on Greece's famous party island, turned into a huge beach party with a bonfire, DJs and drinks.

According to Mykonos Live TV, over 100 people attended the 'anti-coronavirus’ party and ignored social-distancing measures.

Police were notified of the incident two hours after the party was in full swing and immediately dispersed the crowd.
