Denmark's State Secretary for Development Policy Trine Rask Thygesen and Greece's Alternate Migration & Asylum Minister Giorgos Koumoutsakos, signed an agreement on Monday that will see Denmark provide three million euros in financial support for unaccompanied refugee minors in Greece.

According to a ministry announcement, the agreement will operate on top of the two countries' existing agreement of Denmark’s three million euros to unaccompanied refugee children, signed earlier in the year.

The sponsorship will be made available between 1 November 2020- 30 April 2022 and concerns the creation of accommodation facilities, while the planning also includes education, training and integration programs in Greek society, depending on the children's age.
