Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said today in a teleconference celebrating the donation of 18 portable beds of the Intensive Care Unit, that “the way out of the crisis is now visible.”
According to Mitsotakis, one more effort is needed these next two weeks so that the economy and education will return to somewhat normalcy:
“I know very well that there is a lot of fatigue, but we have to make one more effort, especially during these two weeks, so that we can return to normal operating rhythms of the economy and education.
“We will plan it, if we decide, with smart solutions and a new mutual trust agreement with the citizens: the economy to reopen gradually and all of us to be discipline to the rules so that it remains open.
“In other words, the way out of the crisis is now visible, but how fast will we get there, depends on the careful steps we will take on the final straight, because we are now on the final straight.”
Regarding the development of the effort to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, Mitsotakis said that “vaccinations will reach one million this week.”
