Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses as they continue to investigate an assault in South Yarra on Saturday 13 March.
It’s believed a male assaulted the victim as she walked along Barry Street, before stealing her shopping trolley containing personal items at about 6.15 am.
The victim, a 78-year old South Yarra woman, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The trolley was located by police in a nearby street with the personal items intact.
Investigators have released images and CCTV of a male they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
The male is described as Caucasian in appearance, with a thin build, dark coloured hair, moustache and wearing a brown t-shirt, dark coloured pants and shoes.
