Greece: 519 new COVID-19 cases, 16 deaths

Greek health authorities announced that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours are 519 , of which 2 were identified after checks at the country’s gates.

There were 417,253 new cases (daily change + 0.1%), of which 51.2% are men.

Based on the confirmed cases in the last seven days, 26 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 1,015 are related to an already known case.

There were 17 new COVID-19 deaths.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, there has been a total of 12,494 deaths recorded.

The number of intubated patients is 321 (65.9% men).

Their median age is 67 years.

86.0% have underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,593 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

The admission of new COVID-19 patients to the hospitals of the territory is 61 (daily change -24.69%).

The average seven-day admission is 89 patients.

The median age of cases is 43 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of death is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
