Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu told his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias on Monday that Turkey would assist Greece’s firefighting efforts by sending two planes.
However, it was revealed that the planes sent to Greece were actually those sent by the European Union to assist Turkey in their own struggles with wildfire.
Turkish journalist Yeliz Koray quoted Turkey’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Bekir Pakdemirli, as saying that the two planes sent to Greece were the ones the EU had sent to Turkey.
Bakan Pakdemirli sonunda açıklamış.
“Yunanistan’a 2 uçak gönderdik” dedikleri AB’nin yardım için Türkiye’ye gönderdiği uçaklarmış.
