Greece tries to evacuate 11 Afghans who worked as interpreters

Another person has been added to the group of Afghanis and their families who work for Greece as interpreters, bringing the total number of people which the Greek Embassy in Pakistan is trying to get out of the Taliban-controlled country to 11.

According to diplomatic sources, everyone is still trapped in Kabul and increasingly concerned about their physical safety, but for now are still in good health.

Athens is in constant communication with them.

It is recalled that the Greek Embassy in Islamabad, under the direction of Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias and under the coordination of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is in the process of freeing two Afghan interpreters and their families who worked with Greece.
