Rosa Tatuata – Southern Italian Folk Band

Southern Italian Folk Bands – Rosa Tatuata

Rosa Tatuata is a Sicilian and southern Italian folk band based in the United States.

Fueled by their research into traditional instruments like the tamburo (Sicilian frame drum), organetto (diatonic accordion), marranzano (jaw harp) and zampogna (Southern Italian bag-pipes) ROSA TATUATA introduces traditional songs into different musical contexts that rhythmically mirror the comingling of Old and New World.

The band consists of Michela Musolino, Phil Passantino, Charlie Rutan, and Jeffrey Panettieri.
