Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic FC are in the Scottish League Cup final thanks to James Forrest’s goal and a man of the match performance from Portuguese player Jota.

Coming on as a substitute, James Forrest scored the game’s sole goal in the 73rd minute against St. Johnstone.

Postecoglou’s side will know who they will play in the final tomorrow when Rangers take on Edinburgh side Hibernian.

Celtic fans also paid tribute to Bertie Auld, a Lisbon Lion, the nickname given to the Celtic team that won the European Cup at the Estádio Nacional near Lisbon, Portugal on 25 May 1967, defeating Inter Milan 2–1.

The club legend died on 14 November 2021, aged 83.
