An exhilarating performance of Greece's Hymn to Liberty by Tina Kokkalis, drew an unbelievable cheer from the huge number of Greek-Australian fans in the crowd before the singer launched into Advance Australia Fair - with the entire crowd standing for the song.
Greek Australian George Kambosos Jr. has lost his three lightweight title belts after being outclassed by America’s Devin Haney in front of 41,129 fans at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium.
Haney, whose relentless left jab kept Kambosos at bay throughout the bout, has now become the world’s undisputed lightweight champion (WBA, IBF, WBO and WBC) thanks to his uncontroversial unanimous points victory on Sunday.
