Giannis Antetokounmpo underwent an MRI and the results showed no acute damage, according to the EEC update.

On Sunday, the Bucks' Greek superstar participated in training, which included non-contact tactical drills. On the contrary, Georgios Papagiannis and Ioannis Papapetrou continued their recovery with a personalised program.

The National Team has completed its preparatory matches and now it is time for its official duties. The start will take place in Belgrade against Serbia (25/8), and then Dimitris Itoudis' team will play against Belgium (28/8) in OAKA, as part of the World Cup qualifiers.

Antetokounmpo's scan saw him miss out in Greece’s friendly game against Turkey after a last minute announcement from the Greek Basketball Federation.

Kosta Antetokounmpo instead made up for Gianni’s absence with an outstanding performance which saw Greece defeat Turkey.

Kostas posted the second-best scoring performance in his career with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Greece’s victorious effort was marked by Ergin Ataman’s ejection with Dimitris Itoudis trying to convince him to leave the court.

Greece finished the friendly Acropolis Tournament on a high note. The European basketball powerhouse extended its domination against Turkey, 89-80 (22-15, 20-28, 21-26, 26-11), winning the 8th straight game.
