NBA superstar and 2-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo posted a poignant question on social media that even many Greeks of the diaspora might have asked themselves at some point in their lives.
"Who am I?" asks Antetokounmpo. " In Greece I was Nigerian, in Nigeria I was Greek. I was stuck in the middle, living between cultures." he concludes as he invites the audience to watch his new film "Naija Odyssey" a partnership WhatsApp and now streaming on Prime Video. #TheresNoOneLikeUs
Antetokounmpo was in New York at the premiere of "Naija Odyssey", the short film starring him and the narration of his life story. After the screening of the film, Giannis showed off his dance skills to traditional Nigerian rhythms in a video uploaded on Instagram.
After "Rise" and "Naija Odyssey", intends to pursue his interest in the arts, with sources saying he will be next producing a National Geographic documentary about immigrants who work in Wisconsin.
