The Capitals of Culture for 2023 were uploaded by the European Union Commission on its Twitter account. Elefsina is one of the three cultural capitals for the new year.
Specifically, the commissions posted: “2023 is here. And with it, the new European cities in the spotlight. But which ones are they? Discover with us the European capitals of 2023 that are leading the way when it comes to going green, being more accessible or showcasing our cultural heritage.”
Elefsina 🇬🇷, @timisoara2021 🇷🇴 and @VEB2023 🇭🇺 will vibrate with colours and lights as our Capitals of Culture.

The cultural capitals for 2023 are, apart from the Greek city, are also Timișoara from Romania and Veszprém from Hungary.
