The closure of Principote was unanimously decided by the Quality of Life Committee of the Municipality of Mykonos.
The decision was unanimously taken at the extraordinary meeting held today at noon. Yesterday, the Ministry of Environment had ordered the municipality to suspend the operating license immediately.
The reason was the completion of the inspection report of environmental inspectors, which recorded almost 40,000 square meters of illegal construction had been added to the site.
The report was finalized by the Central Planning Council almost in its entirety (except for two "legalizations" of unauthorized buildings, which are limited and subject to future inspection).
