Olympiacos Piraeus was crowned Greek League champion after Game 4 of the Finals against Panathinaikos Athens was suspended amid several eventful incidents that took place in OAKA arena.

After an initial interruption that lasted for hours, the officials ruled that the game can’t resume as the Reds, that were up 2-1 in the best-of-five series, were declared winners.

With 12:46 minutes to play and Olympiacos up 35 – 63, various objects, flares and smoke bombs were hurled by fans at the bench of Olympiacos and onto the protective net. The referees decided that the game should be interrupted as players and staff of Olympiacos headed to the team’s locker room.

Panathinaikos fans stayed on the court but the atmosphere was too foggy for the game to continue. The referees ordered the evacuation of the arena for the game to continue and then some Panathinaikos hooligans began breaking the seats in the arena.

More to come….
