UEFA rating: Greece increased the gap with Croatia!

Panathinaikos Greece UEFA

A positive sign for Greece in the first week of the third qualifying round of the three UEFA competitions.

After the victory of Panathinaikos on Wednesday against Marseille, Olympiacos and Aris came to celebrate successes with the same score (1-0) against Genk and Dynamo Kyiv, respectively, on Thursday. At the same time, PAOK also managed to stay upright in Split by drawing a goalless draw from Hajduk.

After the 200 points offered by Panathinaikos, the three representatives of Greece came on Thursday to collect 500 more. Thus, Greece remained in 19th place, reaching 21725 points. For their part, the Croats, who are in the bottom and specifically in the 20th, in addition to Hajduk's draw, saw Rijeka win 3-1 away from B36 Torsavn from the Faroe Islands. However, Osijek experienced a heavy defeat, 5-1, by Antana Demirspor in Turkey.

Thus, the Croatians collected 350 points and reached 21525. Of course, everything remains open to the AEK and Dinamo Zagreb game. One realises that next week's replay at the Toumba stadium between PAOK and Hajduk Split is crucial for this match. If the Two-Headed of the North succeeds, the most favourable scenario will continue with only two teams in the playoffs of the European Cups.

As for Poland, which is in 21st place, the results were anything but satisfactory for the country. The only representative out of the three it has in the Europa Conference League, which managed to prevail, was Lech Poznan with 2-1 over Spartak Trnava. On the other hand, Pogon Sečin was beaten 5-0 by Ghent on Wednesday, while Legia Warsaw was beaten 2-1 at home by Austria Vienna. Thus, the Poles reached 21250 points.

Greece remains far from the Czech Republic, which is immediately above, specifically in 18th. The country's two representatives achieved the same number of victories tonight, offering 500 points and sending it to 23550. Slavia Prague in the Europa League beat Dnipro 3-0, while Viktoria Plzen in the Europa Conference League beat Gzira 4-0 from Malta.
