How many car manufacturers does Greece and Turkey have?

Car manufacturers in almost all the Member States of the European Union produce cars, light and heavy trucks, buses, internal combustion engines, and electric motors and batteries. Unfortunately, Greece is not one of these countries; it has no vehicle or component manufacturing plants.

Most production plants are located in Germany, where 44 units operate, of which 22 manufacture passenger cars, seven light trucks, three heavy trucks, three buses, 13 engines and six batteries.

In second place is France with 30 production units, of which 12 are for cars, 4 for light trucks, 4 for heavy trucks, 6 for buses, 6 for engines and 1 for batteries.

Italy follows in third place with 24 production plants, of which ten manufacture passenger cars, four light trucks, three heavy trucks, three buses and seven engines.

Poland follows fourth place with 18 production units, of which one concerns cars, two light trucks, two heavy trucks, five buses, seven engines and two batteries.

Spain completes the top five with 14 production plants, of which eight manufacture passenger cars, four light trucks, one heavy truck, four buses, three engines and one for batteries.

Outside the European Union, 107 production plants operate, of which 33 are in Russia, 31 in Britain, 17 in Turkey, 6 in Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, 4 in Belarus, 3 in Serbia and one in North Macedonia!
