PASOK's Nikos Papandreou meets with Indian PM Modi in Athens

PASOK Nikos Papandreou, Narendra Modi

PASOK Member of the European Parliament Nikos Papandreou met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Athens on the sidelines of his visit to our country on Friday. The two met and discussed in a warm atmosphere in a central hotel in the centre of Athens.

The issues that preoccupied them are Greece-India relations and Europe-India issues, which the MEP closely follows.

It is noted that it is the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister in the last 40 years. The last time, in 1983, the then Prime Minister Andreas Papandreou had invited Indira Gandhi as part of the infamous "Six Initiative". At that time, Nikos Papandreou was present, who was in charge of organising this visit.
