Bakoyannis calls on the residents and visitors to use the application "myAthenspass," which enables those who drive on the streets of the Greek capital to park via their mobile phones without looking for parking cards.
"So that we don't write to you, and you don't write to us, download the application of the Municipality of Athens, myAthensPass. You can easily and quickly take your space in the controlled parking...," Bakoyannis said, News Auto reported.
He urged drivers to include this valuable and practical possibility in everyday life.
With the "myAthensPass" application developed by DAEM SA, the Development Company for Computerization and Informatics of the Municipality of Athens, the driver/application user can buy parking time for his car electronically, quickly and easily, from wherever he is.
The application is designed to integrate the ease of the process, reliability and immediacy of payments into users' daily lives, offering them everything they need to park through their mobile phone.
The application already serves over 40,000 users for 3,500 visitor spaces throughout the controlled parking network. It is available in Greek and English, and DAEM plans to add new features soon to make it even more functional and valuable.
The footsteps
Installation: Search for "myAthensPass" in the Play Store for Android devices or the App Store for iOS devices and install it on your smartphone.
Registration & Login: Follow the instructions and fill in the requested information to create your account.
Add a shopping card: In the wallet menu, enter your bank card details (debit, credit or prepaid).
Buy a ticket: Buy the desired amount from €0.5 to €20.
Activate parking: Locate your position on the map, choose the parking time (30'-180'), enter your vehicle's license plate number (Greek and foreign license plates) without spaces or dashes and activate your parking!
Ten minutes before your parking time expires, you are informed by the application with a notification so that you can renew it with a single movement, in case you wish!
