An illicit relationship led to blackmail and the murder of two Georgian women by Pakistani men, who dismembered them and dumped their parts in waste bins across Athens. This crime was finally solved 13 years later.
The two women from Georgia, 59 and 21 years old – mother and daughter – had been reported missing since 2007. Their relatives and the authorities thought they had chosen to move away. As revealed, the two women were victims of a violent murder.
The killers with a rope strangled the victims inside their apartment in Ano Petralona, dismembered them, placed their limbs in garbage bags, and discarded them in waste bins across the Greek capital. The perpetrators’ motivations are attributed to personal differences with the victims.
A few days ago, anonymous information submitted to the Directorate of Investigations reopened the investigation and a turn in the case, which remained unsolved.
According to the data that emerged back in 2007, during the Police investigation, the two women from Georgia had contact with the perpetrators from Pakistan. A 54-year-old Pakistani, who was married, had an extramarital affair with the 21-year-old Georgian woman.
Nantia reported that three Pakistanis were involved in the murder of the two women, one of whom ran two shops in Athens. The Attica Security Police identified the suspects from Pakistan and proceeded to bring them in, and they confessed their involvement in the murder.
The two Pakistanis, aged 54 and 60, as confessed perpetrators, described the murder of the two women, and how they strangled and dismembered them.
In contrast, the third, as their accomplice, confessed that they had been brought together to dispose of the dismembered limbs of the mother and daughter.
As the Pakistani perpetrator claimed during his preliminary investigation statement, the two women from Georgia blackmailed him that they would reveal the illicit love affair to his wife. He proceeded to kill them with two of his friends and conceal the crime they had committed.
The criminals were taken to the Prosecutor and are expected to be taken to the Prisons.
