Three Athenian bars were listed amongst the world's best bars in the recent "World’s 50 Best Bars Awards 2023" held in Singapore with "Sips" bar in Barcelona crowned the world's best bar. It's the second consecutive year that a bar from Barcelona has claimed the top spot.
It was a triumphant year for Greece, with yet another year of Greek bars on the list.

The Line at No. 12, also winning the London Essence Best New Opening title, Baba au Rum at No. 25, and The Clumsies at No. 47, earning the title of Rémy Martin Legend of The List. Athens takes the second spot for the highest number of bars in Europe's 1-50 list, with five bars appearing in the complete 1-100 list, a significant achievement for Greece.
The 15th list of the world's best bars, sponsored by Perrier, was announced in a live awards ceremony on Tuesday, October 17, in Singapore. The 2023 list features bars from 28 cities, with 11 new entries from Bangkok, Berlin, Dubai, London, Melbourne, New Orleans, Paris, Rome, Seoul, Singapore, and Stockholm.
Other bars in the top five include New York's Double Chicken Please (No.2), Handshake Speakeasy in Mexico City (No.3), Paradiso in Barcelona (No.4), and Connaught Bar (No.5) in London. You can view the complete list here.
