Maria Menounos is going through motherhood for the first time and does not stop expressing her gratitude to those who helped her have her first child a few months ago.
Through a surrogate mother, the Greek-American presenter and Keven Undergaro became the parents of a little girl whom they named Athena.
Maria Menounos' social media has been filled with photos with the baby. In the most recent post, she was photographed with her husband while changing the baby. She kisses the baby's hands while Undergaro holds his daughter's right hand.
In the caption, Menounos wrote: “I can’t stop kissing her feet. I have never felt so much joy in my life. So grateful to everyone who helped bring little athena into our lives.."

In a recent interview, Menounos made her first public reference to the surrogate mother who gave birth to her daughter.
As she told Today: "Bringing my daughter up in the Greek community is going to be really important, giving her those strong roots, going to church and letting her know it's (good) to have and be a good member of the community."
“When you’re met with a potential death sentence, everything changes,” she told People at the time. “I need people to know there are places they can go to catch things early. You can’t let fear get in the way. I had that moment where I thought I was a goner — but I’m OK because I caught this early enough.”
In February 2023, Menounos and Undergaro announced they were expecting a baby with help from a surrogate.
