Monica Bellucci went for dinner at a well-known restaurant in Ladadika after her award at the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival.

The Italian star arrived shortly after 22:00 at a restaurant and sat at a table in the interior, which was "private" for her and the other guests, such as the Minister of Tourism, Olga Kefalogianni and the regional governor of Central Macedonia, Apostolos Tzitzikostas.

According to Proto Thema, the menu was similar to what other customers could choose.

It included Mediterranean dishes such as trauma with bonito Lacerda, raw maya and bluefin tuna cuts, and a variation of the country salad with cheese, tomato, nut, and kritamo.

The dinner continued with yiouvetsi with cuttlefish cooked in its ink, stir-fried in a pan of Agioreitis, with wild greens and celeriac cream. At the same time, the dessert was halva politiko and sorbet. The food was accompanied by sparkling wine, rose and white.

Meanwhile, Aristotelous Square in Thessaloniki was engulfed with fans for a second night, from people who gathered outside the "Olympion" to see Monica Bellucci up close.

The Italian star, an official guest of the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, arrived shortly after 20:00 on Thursday at the Festival site, with hundreds of people waiting for her, chanting her name.

Monica Bellucci walked the red carpet smiling, and before entering the cinema grounds, she greeted people, took some pictures, signed autographs and was given a bouquet of flowers.

The film "Malena" by Giuseppe Tornatore, with which she became world famous, was screened at the Festival. Later, the Italian star was honoured by the 64th Thessaloniki Film Festival with the "Golden Alexander" for her overall contribution to cinema.

Monica Bellucci was emotional as she received the prestigious “Golden Alexander” award at the Thessaloniki Film Festival on Thursday evening, November 9. The Governor of Central Macedonia, Apostolos Tzitzikostas, presented the award to her during a special ceremony held at the “Olympion” theatre as part of the festival.

Before screening her iconic film “Malena,” Bellucci took a moment to express her deep gratitude for the remarkable honour.

She said to the audience, "Thank you very much, thank you to the fantastic Thessaloniki Film Festival. I feel very honoured to receive this award and am especially excited to be in Greece."

"I want to express my immense gratitude to the great artist Maria Callas, who has a special place in my heart," the actress added.

To everyone’s delight, she continued in Greek, her voice filled with warmth, “Ευχαριστώ πολύ” (Thank you very much), revealing her deep connection to Greece, which she considers her favourite destination.
