It is not the first time Leroy Merlin has shown its animal-loving face. In the past, it has often been the subject of (positive) comments from animal lovers and organisations.

A video uploaded by Sessile the Dog on TikTok has gone viral for all the right reasons. The video shows three Christmas trees with lanterns - samples for those who want to make purchases - inside a large store in Piraeus. Customers see two stray dogs sleeping under the trees and on a fluffy blanket instead of a manger...

As far as one can tell, the store not only does not prohibit but encourages such behaviours, allowing the two lovely dogs to nap in a warm, sheltered place for as long as they wish. And not only.

The two adorable and amiable dogs can roam undisturbed in all store areas when not sleeping.

Outside the store in Piraeus, which is none other than Leroy Merlin, wooden houses have been placed for the strays, while the managers ensure they always have containers full of food and water.

Social media users say the two strays are sterilised and chipped, proving the company's great responsibility.
