Australian police save man from bridge jump during suicide attempt

Australian police in the state of NSW have saved a man from certain death after rescuing him from a bridge where he was preparing to jump from.

The incident occurred today, heading east from Kings Cross tunnel in Rushcutters bay, Sydney where traffic was stopped for approximately 40 minutes.

The swift action by police and their ability to hold onto to the man until he was safely removed from the bridge saved his life. The man who was aged between of 25-35  was initially thought to be a protestor.
